That’s Not a Task, That’s a JOB!" 🤯 How AI Agents Will Redefine Fearless Productivity

ree

Have you ever had this happen?

Someone asks you for a "quick thing." In a recent video, I shared a story about someone asking me, "Hey, can you create a sales funnel for me?" They thought they were asking for something simple, like a spreadsheet.

I had to tell them, "That's not a task, that's a JOB."

This is the #1 killer of our productivity and our peace. We fill our lists with these "tasks" that are actually massive, multi-step "jobs" in disguise. They’re the source of that paralyzing overwhelm we all feel.

And in that same video, I said, "I have so many things going on in life... I think it would be so helpful to have an agent". I want to unpack that, because it’s not just a passing thought. For me, it’s the future.

My "Why": Productivity as a Necessity

As many of you know, my "Fearless Productivity" framework didn't come from a desire to just optimize a workflow. It came from a diagnosis of progressive Multiple Sclerosis in 2020. That diagnosis brought fear, yes, but it also lit a fire under me. It gave me the "opportunity to share what I’ve used to help my day and my life".

Because of MS, I don't have the luxury of wasted energy. As I've said before, I "must have a system" for staying organized.

My goal is not to become a machine that just checks off boxes. My primary goal is "to share ways to be personally productive and to treasure each moment in life". The entire point of a system is to "spend time with those we love unencumbered by routines and items that must get completed".

This is where AI and "agents" come in.

AI as the Ultimate Partner in C.A.M.P.

My "Fearless Productivity" system is built on the C.A.M.P. framework: Create, Attack, Maintain, Partner.

For years, I've used tools like Todoist and the "Second Brain" concept to manage this. I use Todoist not just for tasks, but to "keep track of the important people in [my] life". But AI and agents will take this to a whole new level.

Imagine an AI agent that is a true partner in your C.A.M.P.:

  • Create 💡: An agent can be your creative partner. It can help you organize your research, brainstorm ideas for that play or novel (which I use Scrivener for ), and help you "create something new that goes beyond routine". It helps you get past the blank page.

  • Attack 🎯: An agent can help you identify your one "most important task for the day". It could see that "sales funnel" request, break it down into 50 steps, and ask you, "Is this really your 'Attack' for today, or is it a distraction?"

  • Maintain 🗓️: This is where agents will be a game-changer. Imagine an agent that handles the daily "dedicating daily care". It could manage my "Second Brain" , archive my notes, and even help me with my Todoist system for "staying in touch with those vital to my spiritual and mental well being".

  • Partner ❤️: The C.A.M.P. framework is built on "the power of connection and avoiding isolation". An AI agent can't be a human soul, but it can handle the logistics of connection. It can manage schedules, draft follow-up emails, and remind you to "share knowledge" and "listen" —freeing you to be fully present with that "other soul".
