I recently participated in a Leader Development Group at my church. One of the exercises was creating a letter from God. It is challenging to write about one self sometimes but I thought it was a good way to think about my journey. I thought I would share. The pic below is the men that have been on this amazing path with me. Thank you God for the beauty of this earth and every bit of life and nourishment that you have provided. Thank you for giving us the ability to be there for each other through your grace and the purpose that is within each of us. I personally want to thank you for giving me the ability to grow through your holy spirit for these last fifty years. You have blessed me with abundance, love, and capacity that I will honor for the rest of my days here and all eternity. Dear Winston I thank you for your desire to grow in your faith and be an example of my kingdom on earth. I appreciate your growth in service to your community in a myriad of ways. Supporting and serving in capacities at various organizations. You have poured into the every and anyone that has needed you. You have created an example of a loving spouse, son, sibling, and you exemplify authentic fatherhood since you decided to assume those responsibilities. You have taken each opportunity in your career as a window to grow personally and grow others. You are a perfect work in progress and your desire to keep moving closer to the kingdom I have established is beautiful One way I want to see you grow is your ability to accept my word as the word. You have a tendency to question the fallacies of man. I want to assure you that they too, are perfect and just as you. Have moved toward my kingdom on Earth and Heaven. I want you to continue to grow by seeing my word and the covenant my Son, Jesus established in the world with everything in it. Place aside the cynicism of man and see me in every face, every creature, every object, and every sound. Continue to delve into scripture and allow it to help give guidance. Sustenance, and framing to your growth as you compound and love my kingdom. If you fall wayward I will be there for you, but it will take time and reconstitution to help you re-align the path to grow your faith. Your future will create unknown and unquantifiable bounty by growing and learning more of my word. There will be windows of spiritual growth that will continue to transform your life.
